Make Your Day Better by Getting Organized

We all know those people who seem to have it all -- success and happiness. One thing a lot of those people have in common is that they're morning people.

We want to help you become an Action 2 News This Morning person.

We'll be giving you tips from experts on how to improve your life -- be happier, richer, healthier and smarter.

Kathryn Bracho did some research on how we can make our lives happier by being more organized:

SCHEDULE YOUR PRIORITIES

A lot of lifestyle experts will say you shouldn't prioritize your schedule, you should schedule your priorities.

Put the things in your schedule that you want do, like exercise at 6:30 every morning. They say you're more likely to do it if you put it in your schedule.

TO-DO LISTS

When you make a to-do list, actually write when the things are due.  Example: Pay bills, by 6 p.m. today. Schedule a conference, by tomorrow.

That way, you'll know when you need to get the things done.

BE PRODUCTIVE

Figure out what time of day is most productive for you. If you do your best work in the morning, that's great. Try to fit the most into the morning that you can.

MINIMIZE CLUTTER

Clutter is a big time waster. So, organizational things really can help you get out the door faster.  Invest in hooks. Hang keys, shoes or coats up so they are easier to find.

Also, set out things you need the night before. Always have a designated place for your lunch, your work bag, and your outfit for the next day.
