The reconstruction of a Green Bay-area bridge that will impact traffic for several months is delayed for two days due to the winter storm.
Crews planned to begin demolition of the Lineville Road overpass on U.S. Highway 41 Monday night. Now the plan to begin on Wednesday. The overnight closure of Highway 41 under the Lineville bridge is delayed until next week.
The updated schedule from the Department of Transportation:
Lineville Road between the US 41 north- and southbound ramps are closed from 9 P.M. to 5 A.M. on Wednesday, February 19, then again each night from Monday, February 24, through Thursday, February 27.
Highway 41 under Lineville Road will be closed in both directions from 9 P.M. to 5 A.M. each night starting Monday, February 24, through Thursday, February 27. Motorists can use the Lineville Road interchange ramps to exit and re-enter Highway 41.
Crews will demolish half the bridge at a time while keeping the other side open to traffic. The DOT says that will allow traffic to continue to cross over the highway.
In August, the bridge will close for about two months while crews construct new roundabouts on each side.
The work is all part of the multi-million dollar Highway 41 project.
