Study: It's OK to Splurge on the Weekends

Updated:

New research shows when it comes to your eating habits, it might be okay to splurge a bit on weekends.

The study, done by Cornell University's Food and Brand Lab, shows there's a natural rhythm to weight loss: People tend to weigh the most on Sunday and Monday, and least on Friday.

Researchers found if people gain a small amount of weight over the weekend, they can compensate for that during the week.

Researchers also say allowing yourself small splurges on weekends may help you stay better focused on your weight loss goals.
