Officers Rescue Man from Burning Jeep

Updated:
Fox Valley -

Everybody is okay after two Appleton police officers rescued a an unconscious man from a burning vehicle early Thursday morning.

When officers Jack Taschner and Tyrell West arrived on scene, they found the front end of a Jeep completely engulfed in flames.  They also noticed there was someone in the driver seat. Taschner and West acted quickly to get the man out of the car and pull him to safety shortly before there were several small explosions from the fire.

Investigations by the police and fire departments did reveal anything suspicious that could have led to the fire.  The vehicle did not appear to have crashed either making investigators question how the man ended up in the car and unconscious while it was on fire.
