Icy Roads Lead to Crashes in Brown County

Slippery roads in Brown county lead to several accidents late Thursday night.

The Brown County Sheriff's Department says the roads started glazing over with ice jut before 11:00 p.m.

At least two cars crashed into the ditch at Highway 172 and I-43 in Bellevue around that time.

The sheriff's office says it is not sure how many accidents there were in the county, but at least one person was hurt. Officials didn't know how badly.

County trucks came out to salt the roads and by 1:00 a.m. Friday, the accidents were cleared and the sheriff's office says the roads were much better.
