Mild Weather Invites Families Outdoors

Could it have been any nicer outside today? The high temperature reached more than 10 degrees above average, allowing people couped up inside to get out. Action 2 News takes a look at how some of you took advantage of the mild weather.

There were few complaints Saturday about the mild temperatures, clear skies and sunshine.

"You couldn't ask for better conditions right now," says Andy Schobe of Green Bay.

The Schobe family spent part of the day on the trails at Reforestation Camp in Suamico.

"I thought there would be more people here, more cars in the parking lots, but people are missing out I guess," adds Schobe.

A group of girls on the City Deck in Green Bay would disagree. They're having a blast at the skating rink.

Olivia Krause says "It's exciting anyway because it's a rare opportunity for us to ice skating."

"It's the perfect day!" adds her friend.

Also on the City Deck, a Green Bay family who took one look outside and knew today's weather brought a rare opportunity to play.

"It definitely feels like a heat wave," says Ula Julien. Her husband, Reggie Julien adds "It's nice to have your face not freeze off the moment you step outside."

And they're taking advantage of every moment because they know the warmth is temporary, before they're back to their usual winter ways.

"Then pack ourselves back in the house again and wait for it to pass," Reggie Julien says.

Meteorologist Brad Spakowitz says the bitter cold returns Sunday.
