Fans Excited for Rodgers' Return

Green Bay -

The return of Aaron Rodgers has Packers fans more excited than ever for this weekend's game and the team's playoff chances.

Just since the announcement broker John Schmidt has taken a number of phone calls asking about tickets to the big game.

"I don't see them going up, because I think Bear fans will be more likely to sell now than they were before. So I think that will put a little more tickets on the market that the Packers fans are grabbing up. So I think it will stay pretty steady where normally on a cold weather game it would go down," said Schmidt who owns Schmitty's Tickets near Appleton.

Schmidt says he has a number of tickets starting at just under two hundred bucks.

For fans the game is now so big with Rodgers at quarterback the trip down is worth it at any price.

"Oh absolutely, it's a playoff atmosphere and I think anybody would want to be involved with that. I'm sure everybody is gathering the troops and getting ready to root them on," said Jeff Gates of Mosinee.

A Bears fan Jeff Krawchuk said, "you know teams should play the best teams available. I mean if Rodgers obviously makes the Packers a much better team, that's what you should have here. I don't want them, even being a Bears fan, to have them back door into it."

Since the long awaited announcement of Rodgers return, fan confidence has sky-rocketed. Not only are people more interested in this weekend's game against the Bears but also about the possibility of another home game.

Packers fan Bryan Drouilard said, "I wish the game was here. I would have bought, paid tickets, bought a ticket at any price, but unfortunately, it's down there, but we're still going to do alright. We're still going to do real good."
