Steelers Nation Comes to Titletown

While they may be rooting for opposing teams, this Sunday, you'll notice one thing Steelers fans and Packers fans have in common.

"The same type of commitment to the team," says Barry Sauers from Port Allegany, PA.

"It reminds us of Pittsburgh the fan base is very intimate and friendly, some places you go you don't get that we like the competitive atmosphere and it's a friendly atmosphere," says Isaac Greeley of Pittsburgh.

Like the green and gold, black and yellow fans have a reputation for traveling near and far, rain, shine, sleet or snow, for games.

"They're pretty nuts, and they're die hards, I've been to a few away games over the years and they travel in big bunches so they're die hards from day one to the end I think," says Jeff Azzato of St. Marys, PA.

"They're loyal, they're faithful win or lose a Steeler fan is a Steeler fan through and through," explains Doug Iannone, a native of the Pittsburgh area.

"We live and die Steeler black and gold when we raise our kids they're Steeler fans, they don't have a choice, in a Steeler household you're a Steeler for life and your kids are a Steeler for life" says Sauers.

Friday inside the atrium at Lambeau Field we found several Pittsburghers taking in the sites of Titletown, before the main event on Sunday.

"We're going to Curly's Pub right now that was one of the recommendations and then we might go to Favre's Steakhouse tomorrow" says Azzato.

What was the one item they couldn't leave without?

"The Terrible Towel, we carry them with us everywhere we take them to work, to the bathroom, it doesn't matter it's always with us," says Greeley.

It's a shared intensity that is sure to make for a lively time on the frozen tundra.
