Jesse Pickett Memorial Fund Created

A memorial fund has been created in honor of Jesse Picket, a fire prevention specialist with the Grand Chute Fire Department who died in a car accident earlier this month.

The Grand Chute Fire Department's Facebook page released the following today:

The Jesse Pickett Memorial Fund has been established at Fox Communities Credit Union.

Donations may be deposited at any Fox Communities Credit Union or sent via US Postal Service to:
Fox Communities Credit Union
c/o Jesse Pickett Memorial Fund
3401 E Calumet St
Appleton, WI 54915

When sending a check, it must state that it is for the Jesse Pickett Memorial Fund.

The fire Department says the funds will go towards offsetting unreimbursed medical expenses, future educational expenses for Pickett's two daughters and a fire prevention endowment fund in Pickett's name.

Pickett, 29, and his family were involved in a crash December 8 while returning from a family gathering in the Wisconsin Dells area.  The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says Pickett's car was driving east on STH 68 when it crossed the centerline on a curve and hit a semi.

Pickett died at the scene.  His wife and two daughters were hurt and taken to a Madison area hospital.  The condition of his family has not been released.
