Study: Women Worry More Than Men

Updated:

New research indicates a gender gap when it comes to feelings of worry.

A survey from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows women are more likely than men to feel worried, nervous, or anxious.

About 22 percent of women said they felt those emotions daily or weekly, compared to 16 percent of men.

Researchers also found those feelings of worry were more common in young adults and middle-aged people than the elderly.

Previous studies have found older adults are generally happier.

A new survey shows many teens have not gotten the vaccinations they need.

Researchers say one example is the vaccine against the human papillomavirus, or HPV.

HPV is the virus that causes most cervical cancers.  It's sexually transmitted.

Researchers say many parents told them their teens don't need that vaccine because they're not sexually active.

Parents also said they haven't given their teens other vaccinations because of worries about possible side effects.
