Local Companies Create Investment App

Updated:
Appleton -

Two Appleton companies have teamed up to create what is now a featured app on Microsoft's new Windows 8 operating system.

Featured in a commercial for the newest operating system, clearTREND was created Appleton. Mark Scheffler from Appleton Group Wealth Management came up with the idea. Tim Miller from Skyline Technologies part of the team that actually created the app.

Says Miller, "It's nice with the global market and the app market now because you don't have to be in Silicon Valley, you don't have to be in Seattle where Microsoft is and they're spread all over so you can get their attention from other places as well."

A one of a kind app, clearTREND helps investors manage their portfolios on their own, without having to wait for guidance from a broker or financial planner.

"What a broker will typically do is he'll tell you when to buy or sell and what to buy or sell but a lot of times it's very faulty because it's not as robust as what clear trend. What clearTREND does is it will put in, you put in the securities you want to follow and it will tell you exactly when those trends are changing, what is the most opportune time to make that adjustment," says Mark Scheffler

Free to download, with a dollar a day subscription fee, clearTREND takes the waiting out of making an investment move by giving consumers the tools to make a decision.

According to Scheffler, "You put in your own securities and then whenever there's a change you get an email in your account that tells you clear trend has made a recommendation change for that security."

Creators says clearTREND is easy to use, and can be especially helpful to those who may not be stock market savvy.

Tim Miller says, "This is actually putting all of that power and application behind me so that I don't have to be an expert and I'm never going to be one so that's what really got me excited about using it as a user not just the developer of it."
