Study: Female College Students More Likely to Binge Drink Than Males

Updated:

New research shows that female college students are more likely to binge drink than male students.

Researchers studied college students in Spain and found 56 percent of female students were considered binge drinkers, compared to 41 percent of males.

The report found that men drank more in general, but the women got drunk faster.  Researchers say that's because the women tended to have a more sedentary lifestyle and consumed alcohol more quickly.

Those microbeads you've heard about that are supposed to make certain soaps work better could be bad for the environment.

The beads are made of plastic and when they drain into the water supply, they could be harmful to marine life that swallow them.

The company that makes Dove soap, Unilever, has decided to stop using microbeads in its products.
