Tonight on Action 2 News at 5 and 10, a Target 2 On Assignment report looks at how the collective bargaining reforms have affected Northeast Wisconsin school districts.
Target 2 found that the vast majority of school districts quickly approved new contracts with teachers last spring, even though they didn't have to under the new law.
But with many of those contracts set to expire, school boards are in the process of creating employee handbooks that deal with everything from pay, benefits and other issues that were once bargained for.
Tonight on Action 2 News at 5, Target 2's Matt Smith looks at how districts and teachers unions are handling this issue. And tonight at 10, we find out how much money they have saved.
