Sara Kronenberg
Weekend Anchor/Reporter
Like many other kids growing up in Wisconsin, Sara Kronenberg thought the best job in the world would be playing for the Green Bay Packers. Clearly, that dream didn't work out. But in a way, that's the job that brought her here to WBAY-TV.
Once Sara realized she didn't have a future in the NFL, she thought she wanted to go into sports, reporting on her beloved Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. While a student at Purdue University, she interned at several TV stations in both the news and sports departments, but found her real passion was in news. Sara started out at WISN-TV in Milwaukee as an associate producer before deciding to make the switch to reporting and headed to KCAU-TV in Sioux, Iowa. There, she did everything from covering the search for alternative energy sources to doing one-on-one interviews with nearly every presidential candidate during the 2008 Iowa caucuses. From there she worked at WKBT-TV in La Crosse before coming here in 2009 to WBAY-TV, where she's now the weekend anchor.
Outside of work, the Milwaukee native loves to get back and catch up with family and friends. She's always planning that next big vacation, and she, of course, loves cheering on the Packers -- even if she'll never get to play for them.
