They're heading off to Kuwait, and from there, they don't know what's next, but these soldiers with the 1157th Transportation Unit out of Oshkosh say they're ready.
Lt. McKenzie Bailey with the unit deploying says it is time.
"I'm actually excited about this deployment. I've been in for 12 years, so I feel it's my time to deploy and my family is very supportive," Bailey said.
Those families stood with them today, because this year long deployment will be a challenge for them as well.
"Sendoff ceremony is very important because they get to meet other families of other soldiers that are going to be going through the same thing and missing their loved ones," Bailey said.
Governor Scott Walker was also there to give the soldiers his best wishes.
"They're going to have support while their soldiers deploy and give them something to focus on and that things are going to be okay, and that helps the men and women in uniform do their jobs when they're deployed because they don't have to worry about what's going on at home quite so much," Governor Walker said.
First Lieutenant McKenzie Bailey says she knows the deployment will be difficult for her three kids and that having them all here makes them realize just how close their deployment is.
"It's very important to me to have my family here today for the sendoff ceremony and it makes it real, you know. We're almost there. It's 10 days away, so it's a little more real in our minds today," Bailey said.
