WBAY-TV Green Bay-Fox Cities-Northeast Wisconsin News: Packers' Jason Spitz to Undergo Back Surgery

Packers' Jason Spitz to Undergo Back Surgery

Updated:

Jason Spitz will have surgery this week to fix a herniated disc. That's why he landed on season-ending injured reserve Friday.

Spitz told Action 2 Sports director Chris Roth the prognosis is good for a full recovery, which usually takes six to eight weeks.

He originally suffered the injury right before the first Vikings game.

A specialist in Charlotte will perform the surgery.
