The gun-deer hunt is a few weeks away, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is already taking nominations for the 13th annual Ethical Hunter Award.
The award was started in 1997 to acknowledge positive contributions made by safe and responsible hunters.
Last year an 18-year-old from Rhinelander won after helping a crying young female hunter alone in the woods dress and retrieve a 17-point buck she shot but couldn't find.

Nominations should be received by January 15.
