KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) - A Racine woman accused of leaving her newborn and toddler in a hot car while she went tanning appeared in Kenosha County Circuit Court on charges of reckless endangerment.
Twenty-4-year-old Yolanda Kruse is out of jail on a signature bond following her appearance Monday in court.
Prosecutors say Kruse left her one-week old son and 22-month-old daughter in the car while she visiting a Twin Lakes tanning salon. Police say the temperature in the car was over 100 degrees.
The children were not harmed and were turned over to their father.
A preliminary hearing for Kruse is scheduled June 25.
