MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A third person died from injuries after a weekend traffic accident in Juneau County.

Juneau County Coroner Howard Fischer said Monday that 76-year-old Ralph Evans of New Lisbon died late Saturday at UW Hospital. Earlier, 85-year-old Geneva Winkler of Westfield and 48-year-old Joan Reynolds of Sparta died after the morning accident near Mauston.

The Juneau County Sheriff's Department said Winkler's car crossed the center line and into the path of an oncoming minivan driven by Reynolds' husband, William Krueger.

Authorities say Krueger tried avoiding Winkler by moving into the wrong lane, but Winkler swerved back into her lane.

Krueger was in fair but stable condition Monday at UW Hospital. His 14-year-old daughter was treated and released.
