Wrightstown battles the elements and Lux-Casco; plus more highlights

There weren't many teams in Northeastern Wisconsin that didn't have to battle the elements on Friday but few had as much at stake as the Wrightstown Tigers and the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans.

Wrightstown (7-1, 6-1 NEC) defeated Lux-Casco (5-3, 5-2 NEC) with the score of 24-6.

But don't be misled. Wrightstown took a 7-6 lead into halftime before scoring 17 point unanswered.

"We play good when people doubt us they think how are we going to lose or how are we going to stop them no one talks about us like that and that motivates us to show them we deserve the championship," Wrightstown linebacker Mason Rogers said.

Wrightstown clinches at least a share of the North Eastern Conference championship. The Tigers will travel to Little Chute (6-2, 5-2 NEC) next Friday.
