MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WBAY) - Former Badger Melvin Gordon is getting ready for training camp. But before getting to work he was busy hosting a camp near Milwaukee this weekend.
The Los Angeles Chargers running back had a great 2nd NFL season last year. But, like Packers receiver Davante Adams, he would finish 3 yards shy of a 1,000-yard season.
Plenty of Badger backs have had college success, but Gordon wants to become a big name in the NFL.
“I'm still out here to prove I'm one of the best and that I can be one of the best,” Gordon said. “Every year you have to prove yourself over and over and over until you are done and retired. Every day you have to show who you are. There's always someone out there working and competing to be better than you and to be better than they were last year. You can't fall behind.”
