Wisconsin town's water tower says 'sex' after painting stops

SUSSEX, Wis. (AP) - Surprised motorists in the Wisconsin village of Sussex were seeing the word "sex" on the town's water tower because workers had to stop midway through to let the paint dry.

WTMJ-TV reports the workers planned to finish painting the entirety of the town's name Thursday. They had stopped work Wednesday afternoon.

Jessica Bruss told the television station she drove past the water tower Wednesday while taking her 8-year-old son to his first baseball game and "almost drove off the road" when her son pointed it out.

Bruss says the unfinished paint work may be funny for adults, "people should remember that kids are seeing it."

Sussex is about 20 miles northwest of Milwaukee.
