MADISON,Wis. (WBAY) - A Cumberland, Wis., company is recalling some beef jerky because it was used a seasoning that contains wheat but there isn't a warning on the label for people who might have an allergy or sensitivity to wheat.
The recall Louie's Finer Meats involves its teriyaki-flavored beef jerky made on or before December 18. It will have a Wisconsin inspection mark on the label or the package with an outline of the state and the number 729 inside it.
It was sold at retail in quarter-pound packages and in bulk.
No one has reported getting sick from the beef jerky. The problem was discovered during a routine inspection.
People who bought Louie's Finer Meats teriyaki-flavored beef jerky can return it to the store or throw it out.
