Events are for Saturday, Nov. 11, unless otherwise specified

Appleton: 9:30 a.m. rededication and commemoration for the "Spirit of the American Doughboy" statue and new World War I commemorative plaque at 1917 S. Memorial Drive. Followed by a color and honor guard march up Highway 47 to the county courthouse for the Veterans Day ceremony at 11:00 and moment of silence at 11:11 a.m.

Appleton: Fox Valley Veterans Council Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. at the Outagamie County Administration Building. Speakers include U.S. Rep Mike Gallagher, state Sen. Roger Roth, County Executive Tom Nelson and Mayor Tim Hanna. Music by the Fox Valleyaires.

Champion: Mass at 11 a.m. followed by Veterans Day ceremony at approximately 12:45 p.m. with a procession to the Military Memorial Grotto, rosary prayer, and tribute to veterans living and dead. A light reception follows in St. Joseph's Hall.

Fond du Lac: Join SouthernCare Hospice and the Fond du Lac American Legion Auxiliary in the 2nd Annual Walk of Remembrance. Pre-registration available. Registration day of the event starts at 4:30 p.m. Walk starts at 6:00 p.m. at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds. Luminary bags are available to create in memory of veterans. Participants will receive a complementary chili dinner at the American Legion Chili Feed.

Green Bay: November 6. Veterans Week Opening Ceremony with guest speaker John Maino and the NWTC Band, 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. at the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Eagle Event Center.

Green Bay: November 8. Veterans Week Suicide Awareness and Prevention Week. 2.2-mile walk around Northeast Wisconsin Technical College campus starting at the Student Center entrance, followed by a candlelight vigil and playing of TAPS, 3:30-5:00 p.m.

Green Bay: November 9. Veterans Week: "Honor Flight" movie at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Lecture Hall, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Green Bay: 5th annual Suicide Rucksack March, a 20-mile march starting at Stadium View Bar, with a break and rehydration station at the halfway point in De Pere, ending in the Titletown District. A 2-mile walk is also available. On-site registration from 6 to 9 a.m. Map and registration online.

Manawa: Dedication of Manawa Area Veterans Freedom Park at 12 p.m. Organizers have been raising $442,000 for a monument remembering those who served and currently serve from the Manawa area.

Oshkosh : Veterans Day Ceremony in front of the Winnebago County Courthouse at 10:45 a.m. Guest speaker is Paul Baker, USAF Vietnam Veteran, a former American Legion post commander, and current commander for Ray H. Fuller DAV Chapter 17.

Oshkosh: Oshkosh High/West Veterans Honor Wall Commemorative Ceremony at 2 p.m. Alberta Kimball Auditorium. The ceremony will honor those veterans who graduated from Oshkosh High and Oshkosh West and served their country with honor. To date we have found 1,300 names, and counting, that will be going on a physical wall. After the ceremony there will be a social in the cafeteria for all those in attendance to talk with our veterans and a chance to walk by the completed Honor Wall.

Oshkosh: University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Veterans Week begins with an open house at the Veterans Resource Center on Nov. 6 to learn about the center's services role on campus. On Wednesday, Nov. 8, in the Veterans Resource Center lounge, those who served in the military can receive a free massage between 11:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m., and anyone can create a commemorative dog tag honoring someone who has served, which will become part of a future memorial. On Thursday, Nov. 9, meet outside Polk Library at 5:30 p.m. to take part in a 2.2-mile (3.5 kilometer) "March for the 22" to raise awareness about the number of veterans who die by suicide every day.

Sturgeon Bay: The Door County Maritime Museum hosts a special exhibit Nov. 4 - Nov. 18 about the history of Veterans Day and Door County veterans who served. Museum admission is free to any veteran and active-duty service member on Saturday, Nov. 11.

Two Rivers: Friday, Nov. 10, Atrium Post Acute Care and Atrium Senior Living at North Lodge, 2500 Garfield Street, host a Veterans Day celebration and Honor Walk at 11:15 a.m. The public is welcome. This free event includes a Color Guard presentation, pinning ceremony for resident veterans, and lunch (call 920-793-2261 to make a reservation).

Bed, Bath & Beyond: A number of veteran- and military-related websites say veterans, active duty, reservists, Guard and spouses can get 25% off their entire purchase Nov. 9-12.

Bosse's News & Tobacco, 220 Cherry St., downtown Green Bay: Current and veteran service members receive 20 percent off purchases Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Brown County Rifle Range: Free gun and archery sight-in Friday, Nov. 10, 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Giveaways from Cabela's outfitter from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Active and retired armed services members with proof of military service receive a free small order of wings with a side of fries.

Carnival Cruise Line offers special booking discounts for military personnel through Nov. 14, including a $50 on-board credit per cabin, a two-category upgrade, and reduced deposits from $99 per person, which can be combined with Early Saver rates. Guests who qualify can book up to two additional staterooms with the same bonuses and pricing.

Chuck E. Cheese: In addition to daily specials for military families, on Nov. 11, retired service members can receive one free personal 1-topping pizza at all U.S. restaurants with valid military ID or proof of service (Promo code #5500).

Costco: Free shopping pass and discount membership Nov. 11-12 for veterans. Veterans reception (check local stores for participation).

Dell: Through Nov. 16, Dell is offering the military community 15% off Dell and Alienware personal computers. Verify and get an exclusive coupon at www.Dell.com/military.

Denny's: From 5 a.m. to noon on Friday, Nov. 10, active and inactive military personnel with valid military ID are invited to enjoy a free Build Your Own Grand Slam including two pancakes, and two eggs, two bacon strips or hash browns.

DigiCOPY: Come to DigiCOPY at 211 Walnut St. in downtown Green Bay (under the Cherry St. parking ramp) for free red, white and blue Veterans Day cards and envelopes through Nov. 11, to fill out and mail or deliver yourself. Available to individuals or groups.

Dollar General: Veterans, active military and their immediate family members get 11 percent off qualifying purchases in stores and online. Online use promo code VET17.

Dunkin' Donuts: Anyone who shows a military ID at participating restaurants on Veterans Day receives a free donate of their choice, no purchase necessary.

Enterprise Rent-a-Car: Active U.S. military members, veterans and dependents receive prepaid maintenance package ($300 value) with purchase of a used vehicle throughout the month of November for recommended maintenance expenses during the first years after purchase. Click here for details.

Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que: Present military ID for a free Two Meat Salute for former and current military personnel on Nov. 11.

Fazoli's: All active, inactive and retired military personnel with ID or in uniform receive a free spaghetti with meat or marinara sauce Friday, Nov. 10, through Sunday, Nov. 12. After Veterans Day, Fazoli's begins offering veterans and active-duty military a year-round, 10% discount on their orders with military ID or while in uniform.

Golden Corral: Monday, Nov. 13, is Military Appreciation Night. Any person who has served in the U.S. military (retirees, veterans, active duty, National Guard or Reserves) can receive a free dine-in meal from 5 to 9 p.m.

Grease Monkey: Free full-service oil changes on Veterans Day to veterans and active duty military who show their military ID or state driver's license with military insignia stamp.

Great Clips: On Veterans Day, veterans and current military members receive a free haircut or gift card for a free haircut. Everyone else who purchases a cut gets a haircut card to share with a veteran they know. Haircut cards are redeemable until Dec. 31.

Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame : Free admission Nov. 11 for active and retired military members with military ID.

Happy Joe's Pizza & Ice Cream: Present military ID for free smorgasbord and drink for veterans Friday, Nov. 10, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Valid at Green Bay location only, 1675 E. Mason Street.

ID Experts: Through Dec. 31, ID Experts offers a 25 percent lifetime discount on its MyIDCare identity protection services to veterans and active-duty military members and their immediate families. Visit their website for details.

IHOP: On Friday, Nov. 10, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., retired and active-duty service members receive a free stack of Red, White & Blue pancakes or Red, White & Blue pancake combo. Throughout the month of November, IHOP restaurants donate $1 from every Red, White & Blue Pancake Combo to the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation college scholarship fund.

National Parks. More than 100 National Parks waive the entrance fee for veterans on Veterans Day.

Neville Public Museum, 210 Museum Place in downtown Green Bay, offers half-price admission for the family members of active-duty and retired military personnel on Nov. 11. Veterans get in free all year.

NEW Zoo in Suamico will give free admission to veterans and active-duty military personnel and their immediate family members Saturday.

Olive Garden: Present proof of military service to receive a free Veterans Day meal from a special menu, with unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks.

PDQ Car Wash: On Saturday, November 11, Veterans and active-duty Military personnel will have the option of either a FREE Full Service wash or FREE Ultimate Exterior wash at our 6 Full Service locations. Veterans and active duty Military personnel will be offered a FREE Ultimate Exterior wash at our 2 Xpress locations.

Tri Essence Salon and Spa: 1794 Allouez Ave, Green Bay. November 7-11, veterans and all active-duty service members receive 50% off haircuts and 20% off other services -- and 15% off all services the rest of the year.

Valley Petroleum: Free car washes for veterans on Veterans Day at The Northsider, 5208 N. Richmond St. in Appleton, according to Grace for Vets.

Walgreens: On November 11, customers with a Walgreens Balance Rewards card and valid military ID or proof of service receive 20 percent off regular-price eligible store items at checkout. See stores for details and restrictions.

Westgate Resorts: Starting at 8 a.m. Central on Friday, Nov. 10, Gold Star families and active-duty military personnel who've served in combat and their families can register online for a free weekend at Westgate Resorts in Las Vegas December 8-10, 2017 or Orlando May 3-6, 2018. Offer for a free weekend is open to the first 1,500 families who register.
