Action 2 News first told you about this about a month ago when the plan was made public. Wednesday students at UW Fox Valley voiced their concerns.

“Basically what we're trying to do is we understand the board of regents are most likely going to vote for the merger, however, we do feel as if students had little to no involvement in the manner and it was, supposed to be for the students,” said Dominicka Lewicki, Student Body Treasurer at UW Fox Valley.

There are more than 176,000 students throughout the UW System and Lewicki said without any information it's hard to even form an opinion.

“It could be a good thing, it could be a bad thing, but how can we know if there's no information out there for us to go off of,” said Lewicki.

The UW System states this is all in the beginning stages and once a vote is made it intends to involve both students and faculty.

The Board of Regents will be voting on this proposal at the UW Madison Campus on Thursday.
