ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WBAY) -- U.S. Marines grabbed some shopping carts on Wednesday and helped find some toys for children in need.
The gifts found at the Shopko in Ashwaubenon are part of the Toys for Tots campaign and will be given to kids in the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program.
"It's such a wonderful opportunity for them to get something that they maybe would not have received otherwise for Christmas. So, it's a great opportunity for us to work with different corporations in the area, including Shopko, to make their Christmas just a little more special," said Katie Hess, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin.
The children will receive the presents during a party next month.
On Sunday, marines will be out before the Packers Buccaneers game, collecting donations for the Packers' annual Toys for Tots collection.
They will accept new, unwrapped toys and cash donations.
Your contribution can ensure kids and teens in the Green Bay area have something to open this Christmas.
