FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - One of three adults being charged in connection to the repeated sexual assault to a six-year-old girl has entered a plea.
18-year-old Tory Tuinstra has pleaded no contest to second degree sexual assault of a child. The two other charges, exposing genitals and bail jumping were dismissed.
Charges were filed in August against Tuinstra, Shane Berg, and Ellen Neumann.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by Action 2 News, a woman contacted police in August after hearing Neumann yell at the victim, "I wish you would just die."
The woman told police that two apartments in the building were separated by a door, and occupants would roam freely between apartments.
The woman stated that the adults would wear dog dollars and they would make the child wear a dog collar.
In August, police interviewed the victim, who detailed multiple sexual assaults by Shane Berg and Tory Tuinstra.
The girl also said Neumann made her watch sexual acts between the adults.
The girl told police that Neumann told her that social workers beat kids who are bad.
Shane Berg initially denied the allegations but later admitted that he had sex with the girl in his bedroom, according to the criminal complaint.
Tuinstra also initially denied the assault, but later admitted to having sex with the victim. No sentencing date has been set.
Shane Berg, 41, is charged with 1st Degree Child Sexual Assault. He's scheduled for a plea/sentencing hearing on Dec. 4.
Ellen Neumann, 40, is charged with 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, Failure to Act, and Causing a Child to View a Sex Act. A motion to dismiss was was entered in court on Nov. 21. No further court activity is listed on online court records.
