BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - Thousands and thousands of toys and gifts for kids will go to families in need around the Green Bay area on Wednesday.

Wednesday, distribution begins to let nearly 2,000 families pick up perfect toys for their children with help from a personal shopper. They'll be able to make selections from tables of toys, books and stuffed animals.

Your donations to Toys for Tots will make the holidays brighter for a lot of families.

Action 2 News, the U.S. Marines, the Salvation Army and numerous businesses have been collecting your donations for the past few weeks.

It was another record year for donations.

"I've lived in a lot of different communities working at the Salvation Army, and I've never experienced such a caring, giving community as Green Bay, and it doesn't surprise me that every year they give more and more to the Salvation Army to their neighbors in need," Salvation Army Major Bob Mueller said.

You have the opportunity to volunteer to be a personal shopper Wednesday or Thursday or be a bell ringer until Christmas Eve. If you would like to volunteer, call 920-884-3077.
