SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WBAY) - Sheboygan Police identified a suspect in a shooting at a home early last Saturday, Dec. 31. Now police are asking the public if they know where to find him.
Police believe Deontre Tremaine Smith, 23, fired shots into a home on the 1500-block of Martin Ave. just before 3:30 a.m.
When officers responded to a call about the shots, they found everyone had left.
They eventually determined the resident and several friends were in the home when shots were fired from a passing vehicle. No one was hurt. Police say the people involved know each other, and it wasn't a random shooting.
Smith is a black man with a tattoo of a cross on his brow. He has short, black hair, is 5'11", and about 160 pounds. He's also known by the nickname "Chop."
