SHAWANO COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) -- A Shawano County man plead no contest to charges stemming from a crash that killed three people in October of 2014.
Ryan Swadner plead no contest on Wednesday to three counts of homicide by use of a vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance.
He also plead no contest to one count of injury while under the influence.
The drug charges have been dismissed, but some will be read in for sentencing.
Court records show prosecutors are looking for a maximum of eight years in prison for the homicide charges and one year for the injury.
Sentencing is set for January 10, 2018.
Swadner, who was 17 at the time of the crash, was under the influence of drugs when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with an SUV on Highway 22 in Belle Plaine.
Cody Borsche, 17 of Shawano; Tyler Welch, 18 of Shawano and Paige Brunette, 15 of Bonduel were killed in the crash.
