GREEN LAKE COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - A plane en route to EAA AirVenture made an emergency landing in a corn field in the Green Lake area.
The Green Lake County Sheriff's Office said a 61-year-old man and his 9-year-old passenger were not injured when the plane went down Saturday afternoon.
The plane flew from Ohio to visit the aviation celebration in Oshkosh. It was in a holding pattern when the plane stopped making power, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing in the area of Phelps Road Township.
The Federal Aviation Administration will handle the investigation.
