GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Tuesday marked the 30th year of the Green Bay Packers Foundation giving grants to charities in Wisconsin.
Grants were awarded this year to organizations across the state which focus on human services and hunger.
Artists for the Humanities Inc., based in Appleton, was one recipient. It provides expressive art therapy and mental health counseling to veterans.
The organization says getting a grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation is big recognition.
"What this does is, it creates another platform for us, if you will, by the exposure and the attention that's focused on us by an organization like the Green Bay Packers that would attract other organizations, people who would want to support us," Artists for the Humanities president Tim Mayer said.
