GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Operation Football: Game of the Week – Menasha at Xavier
Since the Xavier Hawks joined the Bay Conference in 2015 and the Menasha Bluejays joined the Bay in 2014 the two teams have flip flopped as conference champions. Menasha finished with a conference record of 8-0 in 2016. Xavier was 8-0 in the Bay in 2015 and Menasha was 8-0 in 2014.

The Menasha Bluejays come into week three with one conference win, a 21-0 shutout of Menasha and a non-conference win against Upper Michigan’s Kingsford Flivvers. Menasha made the two-and-a-half-hour trek to the U.P. last Friday causing Kingsford (MI) to turn the ball over three times. Bluejays sophomore running back Tyler Roehl had 102 yards on 23 carries with two touchdowns against Kingsford. Roehl now has three rushing touchdowns on 46 carries for 237 yards (5.2 yards per carry). Menasha is currently ranked no. 6 in the Wissports.net Coaches Poll.

Through two games this season, the Xavier Hawks have defeated both Green Bay West and East handily by an average margin of victory of 32.5 points. Xavier lead 22-0 at halftime against GB West and 35-7 against GB East. Xavier is currently ranked no. 7 in the Wissports.net Coaches Poll.
