ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WBAY) -- A Milwaukee woman has been charged with sex trafficking a child in Brown County.

April Antoinette Martin, 21, of Milwaukee was charged on Monday in Brown County Court. Bond was set at $1,000.

According to the criminal complaint, police were called to the Hampton Inn parking lot on Friday, August 11 to check on a 17-yer-old girl who was crying and stating that she was living in a car.

Officers learned the 17-year-old had been staying in the car with Martin for the last three weeks.

The criminal complaint says the 17-year-old told officers Martin had brought her to Green Bay from Milwaukee to prostitute and she "does not want to do it anymore."

The complaint says Martin would set up ads on a sex soliciting site to communicate with men responding to the ads.

Martin could face up to 40 years in prison and/or a $100,000 fine.
