MARINETTE, Wis. (WBAY) - Drivers in Marinette need to prepare for a major bridge closure.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is closing the Ogden Street Bridge for three months, starting Monday, Jan. 2. It will be closed to pedestrian and marine traffic as well as to vehicles until March 31.
Crews will repaint the bridge, repair the concrete surface, and upgrade or refurbish the machinery to extend the life of the bridge.
The bridge connects Marinette, Wis., and Menominee, Mich.
Drivers will be directed to Bridge Street (US 41) to cross the river.
The estimated cost of the project is $1.4 million.
