For months, runners have been preparing for this weekend.
More than 50 booths were set up catering to the marathon crowd, selling shoes and clothing and offering advice for a safe and healthy run.
At the Prevea booth, experts talked to runners about the importance of changing up their training to prevent injuries, especially when preparing for a marathon.
"The biggest thing is making sure we do strength training along with running," trainer Mike Lamers said. "Runners tend to run in one direction, how we move in multiple directions, and that is really important to stay healthy and balanced in your body. So the more you can do outside of running, the better."
The expo and race packet pick-up continues Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday also brings the 5K and the WPS Kids Power Run.
