MADISON, Wis. (WBAY) - Luxemburg-Casco won its first team wrestling title in 5 years on Saturday.
For a second consecutive season, the WIAA Division 2 team wrestling title came down to a matchup of Luxemburg-Casco and Ellsworth.
Last year, Ellsworth came out on top by a single point. The Spartans got revenge this time around.
It all came down to the final bout between Devan Vandenbush of LC and Cedric Kosnopfal of Ellsworth. Ellsworth led the team race by 2 points going in, but Vandenbush came out on top to send his team home as champions.
Vandenbush also beat Kosnopfal at the WIAA individual state meet last week, taking 5th place in his weight class.
