FOX CROSSING, Wis. (WBAY) - It's the end of an era at the Village of Fox Crossing Police Department.
Officer Jason Weber retired Friday after 26 years in the department.
Teased by his colleagues and called "Hollywood" for his many TV appearances, Weber has served as a patrol officer and detective, and was the department's first evidence technician.
But it was his work as community liaison officer that he'll cherish most.
"I really enjoyed working with the kids. I was 'Officer Friendly' since the mid 90's. Having that impact and seeing adults now that I had as students, that I'm really proud of, that really was a joy."
Though he's retiring from the police force, Weber is taking a job at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College as public safety training coordinator, to train the current and future generations of first responders.
