GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - A Green Bay-based maker of pet food is expanding.

Carnivore Meat Company broke ground in December in a 5,350 square foot expansion on the 2800-block of Ontario Road. The work is expected to be done next month.

Carnivore Meat Company says it's invested $6 million in capital improvements to meet demand for freeze-dried raw pet food, which it sells under the brands Vital Essentials and Vital Cat.

The expansion will double its capacity and add 20 new jobs. Right now the company employs 72 people.
