FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WBAY) -- The Fond Du Lac Police Department says a controlled detonation of an old, live military ordnance took place on Tuesday night.
The police department says the detonation was carried out by EOD members from the 115 Air National Guard Unit out of Madison and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).
The detonation happened around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at Lake Side Park West off of U.S. Highway 45.
Authorities say the military ordnance was found inside a home in Fond du Lac.
There is no danger to the public.
