GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) -- The railroad crossing at Walnut Street and Museum Place is still closed to traffic after a driver crashed a car into the railroad crossing gate on Sunday night.
Green Bay Police say they have notified the railroad of the malfunctioning crossing gate, but do not have an estimated time on when the crossing would be fixed.
Drivers are being rerouted to Dousman.
Green Bay officers at the scene told Action 2 News two men were in the vehicle, which is now totaled.
The car was towed from the scene.
Police say the men ran from the scene and are believed to be drunk; police are still looking for the suspects.
Officials are unsure if the railroad crossing gate would fall, so they're blocking off the road until it can be fixed.
