MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WBAY) - The Milwaukee Bucks selected power forward D.J. Wilson with the 17th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
The 6'10" junior forward from Michigan averaged 11 points and five rebounds for the Wolverines. Wilson had 17 points and 6 rebounds in the Big Ten tournament against Wisconsin. Wilson adds to the Bucks length with a 7'3" wingspan.
Wilson played just four games his freshman year due to a knee injury. In his redshirt freshman year he played only six minutes a game but in his third year he became a full-time started after two games. Wilson had an effective postseason averaging 17.4 points and 5.9 rebounds during nine games in March.
The Bucks have the 48th pick in the second round.
