GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WBAY) - Milwaukee Brewers sluggers Ryan Braun and Jonathan Villar are bringing major league clout to the Fox Valley as they complete a rehab stint with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

The MLB stars are playing a double-header Friday at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium.

Braun, who is recovering from an injured calf, is batting as a Designated Hitter.

Villar, who is rehabbing a lower back injury, is playing second base.

Fans are excited to see the major leaguers up close.

"Well, we're big Brewer fans. Both of us are. So when I heard Braun and Villar are to be here today to do their rehab assignments up here, I decided it would be pretty cool to come up here and see them play in another atmosphere," said Chris Viste of Pewaukee.

"We watch a lot of Brewers games actually, our whole family. So Villar is probably one of our favorite players. So that's why I really wanted to come," said Andy Hopfensperger of Stevens Point.

On Action 2 News at 10, the Timber Rattlers talk about the impact on ticket sales.
