GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The same day as a deadly school shooting in Florida, students and teachers at a Green Bay school were surprised by an act of kindness.

Kind and inspiring messages were written on Post-It notes and placed on a mirror in a school bathroom.

Some of the messages read "You are loved," "Keep your head up," "You're Amazing" and "Shine like the sun."

A teacher found the notes Wednesday and took a photo which the school district shared on Twitter the next day:

"A @GBWashingtonMS teacher came upon these encouraging notes left anonymously on a bathroom mirror at school yesterday. Thank you to this thoughtful student for spreading kindness to others! #YouAreLoved #GBAPSProud #HEATPRIDE"
