Sauerkraut, peanut butter and waffles featured in Timber Rattlers food contest

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WBAY) - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers baseball team is asking fans to help them pick a new treat for the concession menu.

The team received dozens of entries for the 2018 Food Fight contest. They're down to five finalists.

The winner will be included on the menu at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium.

Here are the finalists (description provided by Timber Rattlers):

Whiffer Waffle (David Clark): "Spicy fried chicken served between buttermilk waffles topped with sliced Pepperjack cheese, crispy bacon, Sriracha and maple aioli."

Peanut Butter Slugger Hugger (Joel Pethan): "This juicy burger is nestled atop a fresh pretzel bun with real peanut butter and accompanied by sliced cheddar cheese and crispy bacon."

Rattler Bites (R. Kamika Gut): "Sauerkraut, chopped brats and cream cheese deep fried in a wonton wrapper served with spicy brown mustard."

Baked Mac N' Cheese Burger (Rob Michel): "Baked mac nā€™ cheese, cracker crumbles, sliced cheddar, and diced onions served on a juicy burger and corn duster bun."

Cheese Buroagie (Joe Freimuth): "Juicy burgers smothered between mac nā€™ cheese on a toasted hoagie bun and topped with onions, peppers and venom sauce."

Fans can click here to vote for the favorite recipe.

The winner will be announced March 12 at 12:15 p.m.

The winner receives four tickets to the 2018 home opener and tosses out the ceremonial first pitch.
