A head-on crash between a motor home and a tractor-trailer leaves one man dead in the northwest corner of Shawano County.
The sheriff's department says the crash happened just before 6:30 Thursday night on U.S. Highway 45 in the Town of Aniwa.
Deputies say the 71-year-old man driving the motor home and towing a boat was trying to pass in a "no passing zone" when he hit the big-rig.
The motor home's driver, Roger Schrank of Wittenberg, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck's driver was hurt, but is expected to recover.
Construction crews had to help clear the debris from the road.
