Tonight is the big night for wrestling fans in northeast Wisconsin. Thousands of wrestling fans filled the Resch Center to witness Vince McMahon symbolicly hand over the ownership to Donald Trump.
Trump's arrival this afternoon was scripted to a "T." Surrounded by fans and local media at Austin Straubel Airport in Ashwaubenon.
"When I decided to make this investment, the first thing I thought of was putting the green back in Green Bay."
And once inside the Resch, "Monday Night Raw" lives up to its name. Not only is this the first commercial-free broadcast in its history on the USA Network, fans also learn Donald Trump is refunding each fan their ticket. About $245,000 in all.
"That's a great surprise."
Trump says, "Vince wanted me to do this tonight. He called me and we're going to have a lot of fun. It's going to be nasty. It's going to be mean, but it's going to be something special."
Paul Yuenger from Neenah says, "I think it's awesome. It's my first time being up close to one of these. I think it's awesome. It's the best thing I've ever had done for me."
It's another storyline of "Monday Night Raw" complete with the drama and fights fulfilled tonight in Ashwaubenon.
